Ribbonet® is a flexible and cost-effective method of installing optical fibers in all types of fiber optic access networks. The technique allows a slim fiber unit to be blown into pre-installed microducts.

Ribbonet® uses a lightweight, handheld blowing tool for the installation. This makes the system especially suitable for Fiber To The Home (FTTH), Fiber To The Desk (FTTD) and fiber Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) applications or any other type of networks where distribution of fibers to many indivudual clients is demanded. This technique replaces traditional cabling in distribution networks.

MICRO AND MULTIDUCTS

Microduct /multiduct type RNLF , is a series of tubes for indoor use with an inner low friction surface that enables installation of EPFU fiber units by blowing. The microducts and multiduct sheaths are made of halogen free, flame retardant (HFFR) materials.
 
Indoor microduct with extra protection that enables easy mounting on dfferent type of wall materials, e.g. wood and concrete is also available.

Microduct/multiduct type RNPE , are tubes for outdoor use. The microducts are manufactured from low-density polyethylene. The sheath is stabilized to resist the aging effects of UV radiation. The tubes are normally pulled into outdoor ducts.

Microduct/multiduct type RNDB , are tubes for direct burial into trenches. The outer sheath is HDPE of heavy duty thickness, with greater strength to withstand pulling and rough handling. The ducts resist local bending due to non-level gravel bedding.

Microduct/multiduct type RNAE , are tubes for aerial installation. The self-supporting, non-metallic and lightweight design enables fast and easy installation. The sheath is stabilized to resist the aging effects of UV radiation. The tube bundle has Drytech filling compound in the interstices, blocking the passage of contaminating water.

Integrated hybrid power/fiber duct cables are especially suitable for new constructions or renovations. For permanent installation inside or outside, also in ground, if protected against mechanical damage e.g. in ducts. Works perfectly combined with other products in the Ribbonet® range.
